When I looked at the dog’s muzzle from a distance, especially from over there, there was no hair.

The cat stood next to my dog and looked at it from above to below.

There were red and white eggs next to its tail.

There was a letter under the eggs.

“Did you bring that letter?” it asked the dog.

"Did you say anything? " it asked the cat.

" By the way, are these eggs on sale?" it asked the dog.

How does everyone find a sentence to write? Do you just pick a passage from a book or something and translate it? Im going to try and stick to this every day. I just feel like I am going rack my brain trying to figure out WHAT to write instead of just doing it.

I read Yomuyomu and I change the words but keep the verb, or not, or I use the words I learned from Yotsuba to build a sentence. You can also read NHK News web easy, you will learn a lot of vocabulary. Keep in mind that you need first to learn many words and after learn how to conjugate verbs. In fact, I learn about the verbs, reading and writing. Oh, I forgot satorireader, and mosalingua you can listen to the story, and use it to write what you understood to build a sentence. Use your imagination! Finally, you can also use what you learned in grammar, and what not utilize Wagotabi. I employ it, a lot, to learn how to make correct phrases. It’s more fun than a grammar book!.. It completely slipped my mind, Learn Japanese with Short Drama are very good video to catch expressions.

I really do kinda whatever. I have a “short story” (mainly just a gag) that I add to on and off. Other times, I will translate quotes from a game or something. I would say my best advice would be to not overthink it. If you can’t think of something, pick a grammar point that you have learned and describe something about the room you’re in, something that happened recently, etc. I made a sentence about Nyan Cat the other day, and I can’t even remember what made me think of it lol.
