The たべていった looks like a correct use of the ていく form to say “to X and go.”
If it was たべていた, then it would imply that someone was in the process of eating. In this case, before going to the hospital.

気分転換にラブコメディのアニメを見てみて、いきなりの「がてら」にショック。
字幕にこの「がてら」が乗ってなかったし、他にもミスが色々。
やっぱり、N1文法は必須。

It wasn’t in the subtitles, and there were other mistakes in the subs too.
