Ah, thanks! I always get a little unsure about when to keep/not keep conjugation with auxiliary verbs, so I’m glad to have an answer on that one.

音楽おんがくはまどか☆マギカですか?

Translation

Is the music from Madoka Magica?

I have no grammar skills; going to be going through Genki I with the わにかに group starting on June 11th. This was posted by me to this video.

語彙はまだ少なくても、少女革命ウテナのおかげで「世界の革命」か「絶対運命黙示録」という言葉を決して忘れないと自信があるだけましだ。

Summary

Even though my vocabulary is still small, at least I can be confident, thanks to Revolutionary Girl Utena, that I’ll never forget the phrase “absolute destiny apocalypse” or “revolution of the world”.

Because I woke up early, I slept again for 2 hours at 3pm.

Hey

It sounds good, but you can change it a bit so it would be even more natural:

音楽はまどか☆マギカのですか? (explanatory)
or 音楽はまどか☆マギカのやつですか? (やつ as more casual word for もの, thing)

Hey

今日早く起きたから、午後三時に二時間また寝た is OK.

You can also say:
今日早く起きたから、午後三時に二時間昼寝した。(ひるね, nap, 昼寝する to nap)

Hey

I would say:

語彙はまだ少ないが(けど)少女革命ウテナのおかげで「世界の革命」か「絶対運命黙示録」という言葉は決して忘れない自信がある。

だけまし is used when comparing with the worst case possible - “at least, one should be grateful”. まし itself means “better”.

Sweet!!! Thanks. I love how it’s memorable kanji too.

Ah, I see. Thanks!

Unrelatedly, today’s sentence:

今夜もう一つ蚊が部屋で見つかったら、叫びながら街へ走り出て決してまた寝ないつもりだよ。

Summary

If I find one more mosquito in my room tonight, I am going to run screaming into the streets and never sleep again.

It is ok, I would say
今夜部屋でもう一匹蚊を見つけたら、叫びながら街へ走り出て、決して寝ないつもりだよ。though.

Hello and welcome!

“I went to my Dad’s birthday” sounds a bit strange. I would go with バースデーパーティーに行ったり or お父さんの誕生日を祝ったり (I celebrated my Dad’s birthday). Also depending on who this sentence is aimed at you may want to change お父さん to 父. You wrote the sentence in polite form with です/ます so I assume it’s not aimed at friends.

文法

Volitional form would look nicer here. 私は頑張ろうと思います

Hope this helps
