I’m not 100% sure, so someone else can definitely feel free to correct me on these, but:

I think は is more natural here. が seems like you’re looking at a bunch of languages and saying “Japanese is the one that’s hard”. The だろう doesn’t feel right either. If you’re seeking agreement as in “Japanese is hard, isn’t it?”, よね feels better to me. Otherwise it reads like “Japanese might be hard” or something.

I think a たら construction works better here - 時 sounds to me like you’re talking about a specific incident (When I wrote in Japanese this one time…).

You really can think of this as a conditional. After all, you don’t walk around all day thinking you know nothing (at least I hope not :sweat_smile:), but when you write in Japanese (condition), you realize you know nothing (outcome).

This sounds a little more emotional. Whenever I write in Japanese, I realize I know nothing. (Not true by the way; you know plenty. :blush:) You could even use a volitional+とする construction to emphasize the attempt and the unsatisfactory result, but I don’t wanna keep going on and on and confuse you if you haven’t seen some of this grammar before.

Finally:

I believe this is constructed as:

何も知らないことに気づく

And I’d probably use something like 気づいている since this is an ongoing thing.

I’ve got a long way to go in my own studies, so I can’t promise these corrections are accurate, but they feel right to me based on what I know.

You don’t have a particle after 勉強, so I’m not sure if you want to say that your study has started again or that you are starting to study again. The former would look something like 昨日から日本語の勉強がまた始まってる and the latter would be 私は昨日から日本語の勉強をまた始めてる。
Notice the difference between the plain and passive forms of the verb depending on the subject of the sentence (whether the subject is yourself or the Japanese study.)

You can’t really describe a picture as being skilful. If your daughter was the one who drew it, you could go with 上手じょうずに絵えを描かいてくれた (or 上手うまく)

As for the picture, it is grammatically correct no? But I guess it would sound weird to a native speaker. So maybe this is better.
今日、娘がくれた絵は上手だし面白かった。

Going for a longer sentence this time

君は授業をサボったと聞いた。落胆するみたいだ。高校より大学の方が難しだよね。失望したり、憂えたりしてるのが普通だけど。。。諦めないでください。また、私たちはもう君の学費を賄ったから。。。頑張れくれ。

Again, you’re describing the painting as skillful, when you should be describing the person who drew it as skillful. If your daughter gave you a picture that was painted by someone else, but you don’t know who, you can say 上手に描かれた絵 (a well-drawn picture). Did your daughter draw the picture or not? Because this would change the form of the sentence completely, if you want to use 上手.

I hear what you are saying @matt_in_mito , but I think you are mistaking what I want to say. I want to say it is a skillfully crafted painting, the painting is skillfully created. Instead of that my daughter skillfully created it. Like, “What a skillfully crafted and interesting painting” accept “crafted” isn’t needed because it is gotten through context.

Just to mention, this last sentence was looked over by my wife who is Japanese and she said it is perfectly natural to say and hear, so I think I’ll trust her on that.
