Remember that て form is connecting sentences, so it sounds more like … and I don’t know.
I would say:
来週末は姪の誕生日だけど何のプレゼントを買うか悩んでいる。
I used 悩んでいる because it is more natural in this context in Japanese.
か because 何のプレゼントを買う is kind of a question (what should I buy?) and questions embeded within a sentence require か or かどうか (かどうか is used when there is no question word like 何,だれ etc, not a case here).
It would be pretty good as 来週末は姪の誕生日だけど何のプレゼントを買うか分からない。too.

I would use だけど instead of ですけど though.

Generally it is a good practice to use けど with だ, です is more common with が（ですが）.

I would say:
私が立っている海岸からは、海の景色は広くて美しいです。

@mrnoone Thanks! I had no idea か could be used to connect parts of a sentence like that. I’m not familiar with the word 悩む either, so that seems like a good one to learn! I’d always used 心配 for that.
I’m not really sure of the meaning of the Japanese or English version of this sentence >_< (Maybe it works mid conversation with some context?)

I meant to make it longer, but then I wasn’t sure of the grammar to do that at all. So I shortened it and if the sentence works, then yes, it would need to be in context and probably conversation with friends/family (since I think it is pretty casual).

I would say:
今日、英語を教えるはずだったけど何となく日本語の勉強に成った。
And if you want to emphasize your emotions more, you can use のに instead of けど。
今日は英語を教えるはずだったのに、
plus if you want to express something you shouldn’t have done, you can use てしまう
今日は英語を教えるはずだったのに、何となく日本語の勉強に成ってしまった。
