I was hinting for another verb that is commonly taught with くれる 
プレゼントする kind of asks to specify what the gift is in my opinion. Seeing it without を is weird

Actually hadn’t done the lesson for neither くれる, nor あげる, so that’s my fault. I’ve done their lessons now since it will be hard to forget getting it wrong twice
