海胆
うに
Sea urchin
うに
Sea urchin
ニラ
Garlic chives
Funny you should use this one because many Japanese people can’t read it, but I have a friend who lives in a tiny village called 韮山 so it was actually one of the first kanji I learned years ago.
ラムネ
Cool!
Ah man, I was hoping that I could trip someone up and get them to write ラーメン or ライオン.
ねんど
Clay
どん引き
きけん Danger!
I can’t believe I just did that
All in favour please vote and let’s carry on in 24 hours…
0 voters
How’s this vote gonna end up? I’m curious
It’s 50% each way so we need a deciding voter
OK since this was exactly 50% each, I’m going to make an executive decision and say that we should carry on as before and have new thread for advanced rules. I’ve opened one up here:
Let’s start our new game with:
クリスマス!
助け平
いっぷたさい・Polygamy
いっしょうけんめい ーhard working.
いぶくろ - Stomach
ろうじんほーむ - retirement home
More and more of these are popping up as the Japanese aging population continues to increase.
むがむちゅう
This means something along the lines of being totally fixated on, or absorbed in something that you’re almost in a dream-like state (hence the use of the dream kanji!) I don’t think we have a word for it in English…
うさぎ (rabbit)
ぎふ (Gifu)
Trance?
It means literally, Not Self Dream Within.
So you know, you are in a disassociated dream-like state So Trance.
Also
ふろんり - Illogical
