Banished to the shadow realm to prevent confusion!
Out of interest, where have you seen 友人 being read at ともだち?
My bad! I was copy and pasting up a storm making a deck and I think I accidentally deep fried my brain. All is good.
No worries! Happens to us all~
I finished the N5 grammar about 2 years ago and N4 about a half to a whole year ago, but recently I got a missing grammar point for each.
First, I figured the BunPro team had just rearranged the grammar points a bit or maybe added some that were missing, but when I got to the deck and filter by Not Learned, then I get nothing.
I figure that the bug is either
- the count is off
- the listings of grammar points in the decks are off.
I hope you can help.
We recently added some new grammar points (and will be adding more periodically from now on). You can read about it here. As for the items not displaying properly in the decks, I will let one of the computer wizards handle that!
Looks like you’re on one the Android or iOS app.
Sorry to ask, but are you able to try and re-download the data for the app?
- Open the hamburger menu in the top left
- Tap the cog
- Go to ‘General’, scroll to the bottom
- Tap ‘Reset Data’
- Tap ‘Reset All’, and wait (a while)
- Once the popout closes, check to see if the Deck data has updated.
If this doesn’t help, I’ll get the mobile dev to help you directly.
Sorry for the super late response…
I’m looking into this right now.
Looks like that Deck only has ~3,400 items in your Anki Deck now?
Can you please tell me what you’ve done since your last forum post edits, and what the general state of your whole situation is?
Sounds like you hit the Mark as Mastered button and it stalled hard (with no feedback)?
Thank you both.
Yes, I’m on the Android app.
I just went through the reset process.
I still don’t see the missing grammar points, but when I click Learn and go to a grammar point.
I feel like I know both of them, so I can’t say whether they’re actually new.
I can postpone learning them, if you want to dig into more details?

They’re N4 and N5, so there is a high likelihood you know them/they’re extremely familiar, but never knew they weren’t Bunpro Grammar Points before (if that makes sense?).
The new ones off the top of my head are for ます-form and for く・に adverbs.
Yeah, that makes sense.
I don’t mind learning them through the Learn button, but do you want to dig further into why the filtering is not working?
Ahhh filtering by Not Learned was still not showing the new Grammar Points?
I’ll follow up with our mobile dev.
Yes, sorry for being unclear.
Yeah I made a split since I thought that 6k was too much to handle, but in the end all I needed to do was to be patient; as it takes time for all the items to be set as “mastered”; it took approximately the same amount of time as the time it took me to import the deck
everything was resolved by itself including the review issue
as you mentioned, I hit the mark as mastered button and it stalled hard
I’m happy to know that everything went smoothly sorry I wasn’t patient enough
Actually the process I think just timed out (resulting in a failed network request), and the page did not get updated to reflect the new state with all the items as Mastered.
Definitely an issue on our end.
Will see if I can make that query more efficient.
Everything ended up OK in the end now tho?
Yes I double checked and everything is set as mastered correctly now, it’s all synced properly, no items from this deck in my review, no more endless reviews with the error at the otsukaresama screen.
I’ll try to import the second part and if anything funny happens I’ll let you know
sorry, if I can add another stone to the edifice, after setting the items of the deck as mastered some bunpro vocab decks appears as 100% completed (even though they are not), what fixed it was to open the concerned deck and refresh the page and then the correct percentage of completion appears, sorry I forgot to take a screenshot of that
Hey!
I am looking into it,
sorry for the inconvenience
I’m getting a “Something went wrong” message that ends my vocab review session prematurely. It’s happening repeatedly at the moment, after about 10-15 vocab reviews.
Is the “half” SRS strictness setting broken?
I’m having items go down by just one level now despite my settings being set to half SRS strictness.
