Feedback - Bug Reports

Hello! The 人 vocab cards are all scrambled up. I’m referring to these 3:

人 - Japanese Grammar Explained | Bunpro - man, person
人 - Japanese Grammar Explained | Bunpro - counter for people
人 - Japanese Grammar Explained | Bunpro - -ian (e.g. Italian), -ite (e.g. Tokyoite)

The “-ian (e.g. Italian), -ite (e.g. Tokyoite)” definition has example sentences corresponding to “man, person”. The “man, person” definition has example sentences corresponding to “counter for people”. And the “counter for people” definition has example sentences corresponding to “-ian (e.g. Italian), -ite (e.g. Tokyoite)”.

Also for some reason the WK sync doesn’t SRS 12 the “man, person” definition, only the other 2.

So i was checking “my bunpro recap” and found that i am at 2153 ghost slains. But still lacking the “Exorcist 1408” badge. There is a error here or ghost count is measured different for the badges?

I don’t know if it’s the right place to report this but this entry is missing from the Tae Kim path even though it’s correctly referenced in the resources: う - Verbs[ない・ません] - Japanese Grammar Explained | Bunpro

Since this is very important grammar it’s probably worth fixing IMO.

The “show upcoming reviews” button is positioned too far to the left on the profile page, at least in Safari on my iPad.

Since I didn’t see a way to report an issue directly from a vocab review, I’m posting this bug/error here. (Please confirm that this is the correct place to report vocab issues, or if there’s some other preferred way.)

So, 暫く (しばらく) is listed as:

“N4 : う-verb”

and also

Type of Word
う-verb

単語の種類
五段動詞

However, in Jisho/JMDict, both 暫く (しばらく) and even the alternative readings of 須臾, しゅゆ, すゆ are listed as adverbs (fukushi).

暫く’s first entry (for a moment; for a minute) is also listed as a verb, but specifically as a Suru verb, not a godan う-verb.

I don’t know if this is a bug, but manually added synonyms are not working for in-app vocabulary review. As I am not a native English speaker, with each vocabulary I add the meanings in my language manually. when I do the revisions directly through the computer’s browser, the added synonyms work perfectly. When I review them through the app, they are not recognized by the app as correct answers.

Hey @lucasfraga95
Thanks for the bug report, I have fixed the bug. The fix will be released with next version of the app.

Cheers!

Yesterday I individually removed all N3 points I had completed by clicking ‘remove from reviews’ to reset the whole N3 grammar point level (and a handful of N4’s). Now if I click on the ‘new grammar’ button on the front page, its still taking me to what would have been the next unlearnt grammar point before I removed them. If I change the study level in settings back to N4 (there’s about 5 I removed from N4), it states that N4 is complete and to change the study level.

The little red circle is gone on the list next to all the points I removed, and it has the the option to ‘add to reviews’, so it seems to be registering at that level. At this stage I have to go into the grammar list and find the next point and click on it to keep learning them in order.

Minor bug: in the “Structure Legend” overlay, the ない and ない stem forms are both listed as Verb[ない], and the conditional form is listed as Verb[potential].

Maybe it’s been brought up and I missed it, but when I look into the grammar points, I noticed
there used to be red lines through [ます] if you were supposed to take of the ます add something else (like in the picture). Those lines are no longer visible.

Thank you for your hard work in implementing the new update!

@Jake

As a follow-up, this issue seems to have been fixed in the Reviews 2.0 interface.

I finished the N4 deck a few days ago and changed my deck preference in settings, but the dashboard still offers me to do 4 lessons of N4. (I changed it to 2 lessonsof N3)
The app doesnt have this issue. I did delete my cookies and stuff too and it didnt fix it. I have all the Betas enabled too.

My Reviews 2.0 have stopped working! I was able to use them without a problem for the last couple of days, but now the Hint button does nothing. Since most sentences need at least the first hint for completion, this issue renders the reviews entirely unusable.

When I click the hint button, I see the brief blue rectangular shading as though the UI element activated, but nothing happens. Clicking around on the page, I found two other invisible buttons further to the right of the hint button, but they also do nothing. Have tried restarting the review session but the behavior persists.

I’ve reverted to the old review system for now.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but some stats seem to be gone:

I haven’t enabled beta reviews or anything. Is it just me?

EDIT: Just as I posted that, the stats reappeared on the website

On Cram 2.0, pressing 1 brings up the Grade Yourself box and tentatively selects the “Hard” option. However, if you press 3 (“Good”), the item is marked as “Good” but still ends up being counted as “Hard”. I can tell since the number of follow-up items (by the paint brush icon) increases.

hihi,

this is very very very minor but for badges i seem to be stuck at 4 ghosts slain, and…well…i definitely have way more than that

Shouldn’t the potential form be 可能形, not 可能系? I think that is just an IME typo… (sorry to ping you max99x, just want the devs to see the other possible typo in that picture)

Good catch! That is indeed an error, will get it fixed asap!

The 未然形 one should have a red line through the ない. For some reason the red lines disappeared recently, but the culprit was found and it should be fixed very soon!
